An exciting netball tournament between Shaka and Little Manhattan residence that took place at Shaka residence on the 11th of March 2023. This tournament took place at 12h00 and ended at 13h00 with four quarters fifteen minutes each quarter.

Shaka residence players were impressed after they scored draw on the first quarter.

Students from residences were cheerful for the game even though Shaka residence didn’t have so many supporters. The game started on a good but ended on a bad one because players played rough.

On the first quarter both teams scored eight goals, leading to a draw for both teams. It was a pity that Little Manhattans player Thulile Xulu fell on the ground while they were playing for the first fifteen minutes, then she was substituted with Ethel Moloi.

On the second quarter, scores were different with Little Manhattan scoring eleven goals while Shaka residence scored eight goals.

Little Manhattan was more energetic on the third quarter because their coach Mr Obakeng Baloyi was giving them advice after each quarter. The team scored more than their competitors again.

Here is the video of an amazing netball match between Little Manhattan and Shaka residence:

Shaka residence coach Mr Sfiso Mabena said,’’ I am not happy of the game because I feel that my team is robbed because our empire is an amateur still learning, so some of the faults done by Little Manhattan are not recognised.”

The forth quarter was no childs play because both teams wanted the rewards.

Mr Mabena said that his team was strong because of Prince Nkabinde the Goal Keaper (GK) of the team. At the end of all four quarters both teams had a draw of twenty-four goals, that gave each team one point.

The tournament continued after Shaka residence played with TCE(Soshanguve North campus) then Little Manhattan won both the price and medals as a reward of playing the tournament.
